We are delighted to introduce the Transkribus Scholarship Programme. It is designed to support and encourage aspiring scholars which is one of our core values.
Previous step: Managing subscriptions
By offering a scholarship funded by us, we aim to promote research in historical documents and welcome students and educators from various fields of study. As part of this initiative, participants will have the opportunity to access the features of Transkribus, which provide the necessary resources for in-depth academic inquiry. This will be achieved by obtaining a free Scholar subscription within our subscription plans. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must propose a specific project that they intend to work on using the subscription and accompanying credits awarded to them.
For Students
If you are awarded a Transkribus Scholarship, you will receive a Scholar subscription and 300 monthly credits for free to support your thesis project. You can take advantage of this scholarship for a period of one year. To apply, simply provide a brief description of your bachelor's, master's, or PhD project, along with some background information about yourself.
For Teachers
If you are a teacher looking to support the next generation of digital scholars, we are here to support you. We offer a year-long Scholar subscription that includes the option to receive Add-on credits on a case-by-case basis to educators who are conducting courses, webinars, programmes, or workshops, regardless of the educational institution or event. Apply by sending us a short description of your current or upcoming educational initiative, along with some information about yourself.
CLARIAH-AT Scholarship
The Transkribus CLARIAH-AT scholarship offers aspiring researchers in Austria's field of Digital Humanities (DH) the opportunity to receive a Scholar subscription and free credits to support their thesis projects and individual research endeavors. With this scholarship, junior researchers can pursue knowledge and advancement in the field of DH without the need for external funding. To apply, simply provide a brief description of your research project, along with some background information about yourself.
Next step: Managing Credits
